Potential Blended Learning Model for Central Preston Middle School

As a result of the unprecedented COVID 19 numbers in our community and the amount of in-person instruction that has been lost since March of 2020, the county is exploring the possibility of a blended learning model. Blended learning is when students attend in-person and virtually. Typically, a percentage of students attend in a given day while the other students remain at home. The percentage of students in school versus at home is around 50-50. We envision a schedule where students would attend school in person two days in a row, remotely two days in a row, and Friday's would remain remote learning days. Our teachers will provide unique lessons each day regardless if students are in person or learning from home. Lessons will not be repeated during the course of the week. Our hope is that all students that are struggling academically would choose to attend.

The form below has a series of questions that have been created to allow us to design the best learning model for our students. Please fill this form out by Thursday, January 14th at midnight for each child you have that attends Central Preston Middle School. This form should only filled out by the legal guardian of the student.

Each year we complete student, parent and staff surveys. These surveys provide information on what we are doing well and where we have room to grow. This will be one of three asked from you this year. Please base your answers on what you have seen so far for the beginning of the year. Thank you for your thoughts and participation!
