These are great tools for research and are purchased for WV schools by the legislature. These are accessed via the Internet and can be used at home and at any Internet workstation. Please take advantage of these resources. The more we use them, the more likely it is for the legislature to fund them for another year.

There are several databases that would be useful for students.
EBSCOHost Web: Click on any of the boxes to select. Probably the most useful would be: MasterFILE Premier, Newspaper Source, Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, Health Source, Green FILE, and TOPICsearch. These include numerous magazine and newspaper articles (including some WV papers); an Image Collection of over 592,000 photos, maps, and flags; consumer health information (sports medicine, nutrition, etc); and articles on global warming, pollution, recycling, etc.
Student Research Center: Students can research magazines, newspapers, books, encyclopedias, biographies, photos, maps and flags, etc. (This database is easier to use.)
Your students may also want to check out Consumer Health Complete, Points of View, and NoveList Plus (all kinds of information on books, series, and authors).
